Pagi dengan Cekar dan Alman

Pagi ini, 20 maret 2008, tidur saya diusik sama mas Khalid, teman kost-an. Waduuuuhhh... emang ga tau ya hari ini hari libur? Ono opo iki mas? “Mishbah mishbah! Minta AVG nya! Virusnya gila nih.” Terpaksalah saya bangun, buka pintu, silakan masuklah.. Ternyata kompi mas Khalid kena virus Cekar dan Alman.

Entah Cekar atau Alman, atau kedua-duanya, tapi virus ini memiliki karakteristik tersendiri. Jangan terlalu tenang dengan teknik kita dengan tidak menggunakan autorun jika kita memasukkan flashdisk ke kompi (just for your info, ini bisa dilakukan dengan menekan tahan tombol shift saat kita memasukkan flashdisk) dengan harapan penyeberan virus dapat dicegah. Virus ini dapat melewati tahap itu dan selanjutnya beraksi. Hati-hati kawan dengan virus ini, karena PC-MAV aja ga cukup buat ngebaca keberadaan virus ini. McAfee juga ga mampu buat mengenali virus ini.

Akhirnya, setelah download AVG free, virus ini dapat tertangani. Ga diduga-duga, selain kompi mas Khalid, ternyata virus ini juga udah menyerang laptop saya. Ga tanggung-tanggung, ternyata virus Alman telah menyerang beberapa installer yang saya punya. Salah-satu yang saya sebelin adalah dia menyerang launcher Conditional Zero. Sialnya, saya sebenarnya lagi asik-asiknya main Conditional Zero, huh! Ternyata virus Alman juga telah menyerang beberapa file di direktori D saya. Tapi untungnya, dia ga ngapa-ngapain file saya. Tapi, ternyata Cekar dan Alman menyerang installer game yang lain, game-game flash kaya odet.exe juga kena serang. Malahan, installer Silverlight sama MS Visual Studio 2005 punya saya juga kena. haaaaahhhh...Nasm juga kena! tapi, Sukuuur..AVG bisa nanganin virus-virus ini, meskipun akhirnya saya tetep delete file-file yang kena serang.

Malang buat mas Khalid, ternyata virus ini mnyerang kompinya dengan sama parah! Kelakuan virus ini sangat membuat repot. Semua installer yang mas Khalid simpen udah diinfeksi sama dia! Jadi, misalkan kita masukin PC-MAV, maka virus ini akan menghapus atau menginfeksi PC-MAV. Jadi, saat kita mau buka PC-MAV, akan muncul tulisan yang ngasih tau kalo PC-MAV corrupted. Malah, waktu kita memasukkan flashdisk yang isinya installer anti virus, secara otomatis akan di delete oleh virus ini.. AVG juga bakalan di delete. Huhu.. dahsyat! Untungnya virus ini belum nyerang laptop saya terlalu jauh. Untung saya segera scan dengan AVG 8.0 sebelum dia nyerang. Tapi, entah kenapa, kata mas Khalid, kadang-kadang virusnya kebaca sama AVG, tapi kadang-kadang juga ga ke-detect. Jadi? Huuuaahh…!

Ga diduga-duga ternyata kompi saya di rumah juga sudah terjangkit virus ini. Sakitnya sama kaya kompi mas Khalid! Virus Alman dan Cekar ini menggunakan explorer windows sebagai media penyebarannya. Bukannya menghambat penyebaran virus, malah penggunaan explorer menjadi sebab menyebarnya virus di kompi kita. Installer yang kita punya juga bakalan terinfeksi olehnya. Nah, kalo udah terjangkiti, mau pakai antivirus apaan juga susah, kecuali mungkin pakai antivirus protable macamnya karspersky. Sekarang, saya juga lagi mikirin gimana caranya nanganin ni virus. Semoga saja bisa ditangani segera. Adakah yang tahu cara membersihkan virus ini setelah kompi kita terjangkiti? Kalo tau kasih tau donk…

Intinya hati-hati kawan dengan virus. Memang yang membuat virus sekarang makin canggih. Jadi, kita kudu update antivirus selalu. Untuk Cekar dan Alman, bisa ditangani dengan AVG free atau AVG 8.0. tapi, itu Cuma kalau kompi belum keserang, alias virus baru masuk saja tapi belum jalan! Aniway, salut buat AVG, dengannya Alman dan Cekar bisa di remove.. jadi..hayo pakai antivirus! Buat yang ngebikin Alman dan Cekar, tolong mikir lah.. yang namanya merugikan orang lain itu ga baik, ga ada manfaatnya.. buat apa coba? Do not make viruses, Do not pick up viruses!

Daylight Fluorescent Pigment

Can you imagine if traffic signs were painted by usual paint? Could you calm your passengers if you drove at the night with non-fluorescent border on the road? Actually, it should be very difficult driving at night without bright signs on the traffic. You will not get the clear view, and even you will never take the signs’ mean in a short time. In extreme, you couldn’t take any actions in seconds if you faced an unexpected accident. But, fortunately, there is specific pigment used as the cover for traffic signs. The pigment is called Daylight Fluorescent Pigment. Used as the paint of traffic signs, Daylight Fluorescent Pigment, which has specific mechanism on its work, has several advantages such as radiating a certain color strongly and reflecting a specific light brightly.

Before we know about the meaning of Daylight Fluorescent Pigment, it would be better if we know about the definition of pigment itself. Based on Science and Technology Encyclopedia, pigment is a finely divided material which contributes to optical and other properties of paint, finishes, and coatings. Custom pigment is material which gives all things colorful. It will absorb the monochromatic light and reflect the specific one which represents its color.

The Daylight Fluorescent Pigment is different from the common pigment. It can turn some of absorbed light (including ultraviolet) into fluorescence with similar color with normal reflected light. This fluorescence plus normal reflected light causes the color of fluorescent pigment bright and gay. In further, based on What Einstein Told His Barber, a book written by Robert L. Wolke, Daylight Fluorescent Pigment is a kind of pigment made by chemical materials which absorbs the radiation of ultraviolet and glows it in the pigment’s color with lower energy.

There are two steps when Daylight Fluorescent Pigment starts to shine a certain color brightly. The first one is absorbing ultraviolet light. Daylight Fluorescent Pigment is unusual pigment. When this pigment is touched by sunlight, it could absorb ultraviolet light and save the light inside, before another light touch it and stimulates the changing of ultraviolet energy into the same color with the pigment. The last step is turning some of absorbed light in the similar color with normal reflected light. This step means that Daylight Fluorescent Pigment has two resources in glowing up its own color. The result is that Daylight Fluorescent Pigment turns its color also in double intensity to make the shining brighter.

There are many advantages by using Daylight Fluorescent Pigment. The most important one that it radiates a certain color more strongly than custom pigment does. This plus is very crucial in case we need “glow in the dark traffic signs” to guide us in the night. If we covered traffic signs’ surface with ordinary pigment, we will not be able to make suitable decisions when we want to turn right or left. Because it will need more struggles to see the signs. We couldn’t even know the signs clearly. As the result, we will never be able to drive at night again. It will happen because custom pigment gives us color only in regular force. It couldn’t absorb ultraviolet radiation in order to use it as the light-energy resource. Thus, Daylight Fluorescent Pigment is the best solution in covering traffic signs.

Another plus which Daylight Fluorescent Pigment has is that it reflects certain light brighter than any other pigment does. This case is about reflection’s intensity. Usual pigment couldn’t reflect light with more intensity than that it has. But, with Daylight Fluorescent Pigment, the reflections’ intensity can be added by the saved-ultraviolet energy. And of course, this energy not only adds the reflection, but also adds the radiation. Trough these ways, traffic signs can be used effectively to guide us on the road at night.

In summary, Daylight Fluorescent Pigment could absorb ultraviolet light in order to use it as the energy resource for more radiation and reflection. So, Daylight Fluorescent Pigment is the best choice to cover traffic signs’ surface.

· Philosophy

In the “writing world”, at least there are two kinds of writing, epigraphy and calligraphy.

Epigraphy is the way we write in common. When we make kind of note, make a novel, or such a formal writing essay, those are epigraphy.

On the other hand, we still have calligraphy as a kind of writing technique. The word calligraphy is formed by two partial words, which were got from Greek, kallos and graphe. Kallos means beautiful, while graphe means write. Based on those statements, we can conclude that calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing (Mediavilla 1996:17). Actually, in Geek language, we use kalligraphia to call it; in Arabian we use khat; while in Indonesian we use kaligrafi.

In this course, we will focus on Arabian Calligraphy, or khat.

The explanation about khat can be described as follows:

In Arabian Calligraphy, there is a kind of calligraphy which is little bit controversial. This is anthropomorphic calligraphy. This calligraphy is made by adopting the human or animal’s shapes in order to make it more beautiful. Specifically, if the calligraphy is adopted from animals shape, it is called zoo anthropomorphic. However, this makes controversial because some of Islam’s ulama salafy do not allow people paint or make art creations in the same shape of human or animals. (…)
